چکیده
Abstract This work investigates the quasi-static, low-cycle and fatigue behavior of hybrid glass/ultra-high modulus carbon (GC) low modulus/ /high (CC) fiber composites. These pseudo-ductile unidirectional interlayer hybrids are a new type composites whose potential is not yet fully understood, particularly under cyclic/fatigue loading. Different test methods (digital image correlation, video extensometer thermal camera) were used to record evolution strain, damage temperature during The results quasi-static loading shown responses with multiple fractures for all series. CC specimens exhibited higher initial elastic modulus, ‘yield’ stress strength, while GC showed highest strain. Much capacity resist was observed. In significant accumulated loading, when in different layers developed delamination between glass layers.

Tension–tension fatigue of hybrid composite rods
The tension–tension fatigue behavior was investigated for a hybrid composite rod comprised of a unidirectional carbon fiber core and a glass fiber shell. Fatigue tests were performed at three R-ratios and four maximum applied stress levels (MAS) while recording the secant modulus at each cycle, and acoustic emission (AE) sensors were employed to monitor the activation of fatigue mechanisms. Fat...

The tension–tension fatigue behavior of (the layer-to-layer) three-dimensional angle-interlock woven composite (3DAWC) was investigated using the acoustic emission (AE) technique, examination of damaged regions via light microscopy and micro-CT, and finite element analysis (FEA). AE events occurred during the entire fatigue process, and damage modes were determined based on cumulative fatigue d...

The effect of tension-tension fatigue (T-T) on carbon/epoxy composites (CFC) has been investigated in this paper. Load controlled fatigue tests were conducted in the tension-tension (T-T) cyclic mode with the R-ratio values of 0.1 and 0.3 and subsequently the specimens with the fatigue life over 10 cycles have been studied by means of tensile testing, ultrasonic inspection and quantitative data...
متن کاملMeso-scale Modeling of Tension Analysis of Pure and Intra-ply Hybrid Woven Composites Using Finite Element Method
One of the key issues associated with using of composites in various applications is their tensile behavior. The tensile behavior of a composite material is strongly influenced by the properties of its constituents and their distribution. This paper focuses on gaining some insights into the tensile process of pure and hybrid woven composite reinforced with brittle and ductile yarns. For this pu...
